So. The Larsens. Our shoot was not lacking excitement. There was literally blood, sweat and tears. But we made it…and I’m pretty sure we made it with style.
I’ve already written about Josh on here (he was the Realtor that I told you all to hire…you still should). But now you get to see the whole beautiful family! All seven of ’em…
Josh is an elder at our church…the second of which I’ve blogged about on this here site. I’ve gotten to know him and Katie over the last three years as well as their kids. One thing they all share: passion. They all have drive and direction and focus. When there are seven people involved, those directions can sometimes cross paths, but it’s exciting to see young kids full of that much determination. Katie is probably reading this and thinking that I’m making it up, but I’m not at all!
I grew up in a house with seven people too. It’s loud and demanding and busy and chaotic. But I think all of those things shaped me into who I am today. And the way Josh and Katie run their household is shaping their children…to be resilient and hard-working and independent and unique. The godly example that Josh and Katie give them will no doubt define where they end up. I can’t wait to see what each of them becomes as they grow up!
I thought my mom was superwoman growing up. I still do…but after getting to know Katie, I think there might be two superwomen. She works almost full-time at the church and has one of the cleanest houses I’ve ever seen. Oh, aaaaand she’s raising five kids. (Please scroll all the way to the bottom to see the last photo of this woman. She also manages to look that good doing it.)
Josh and Katie (and kiddos)…I hope you had fun doing this. I had a great time and it honestly reminded me of my own childhood. Your kids are so lucky to have you as parents – and I am lucky to know all of you! Thanks again!
