The P. Family's Best Day Ever

featured

I think most families don’t look for documentary photographers for one reason: they don’t even know it’s an option.

Even most of you, who were curious enough to click a link about it, are probably thinking, “What does this even mean? Documentary family photography?”

I’m giving myself the month of February to convince each and every one of you that documentary family photography has its place in our world. That means I will be sharing blogs, photos, videos, and many feelings explaining how this niche of photography has changed so many lives.

Though I went to college with both Adam and Lisa, I didn’t get to know them well until five years ago. I saw them at my new church in Denver and I thought, “Are those people from Messiah?” It turns out they were and they became some of our very best friends in Colorado.

I was so tickled when Chloe won my giveaway in November. Their family seemed like a great fit for my new Day in the Life sessions. (If you sign up for my newsletter, you might win free stuff too, hint hint!)

Chloe wanted exacted what I wanted to give. She was craving photographs that documented their life, exactly how they live it in this season.

I meet a lot of great people doing what I do. I see people who are excellent parents, kids who are impressively obedient, and just all around sweet families. But I can’t help but be a little partial to these faces.

I’m not what you would call a “spa girl.” Don’t get me wrong, I love a good mani/pedi, massage, hair appointment as much as the next girl, but there is a level of anxiety that comes with all of it.

I think in their truest form, spas are supposed to be relaxing. But this is just not my overall experience. So, what I know about getting pampered:

MY FAVORITE KID-FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS IN DENVER

These are my favorite kid-friendly restaurants in Denver. They have perfect menus and accommodations for your hellions and good-enough-to-be-worth-it food for you.
