The P. Family's Best Day Ever

featured

At the beginning of October, I got to photograph Denver Rescue Mission‘s annual Fall Festival. I went up to Harvest Farm for the day and got to see all the amazing things they offer!

All the kids LOVED it…there was a petting zoo, an obstacle course, the corn maze, a hay ride tour of the Farm, pig races, a barrel train ride, a pumpkin patch, food trucks…and don’t even get me started on the kettle corn.

Becky and Ryan found me last month on Instagram after I posted some photos of the MannsShe was five weeks from her due date and they wanted some maternity photos before the little one came. I had an opening in my schedule and the timing was perfect. I almost didn’t agree to it because I was looking forward to a day off, but I am so incredibly happy that we made it work.

I met Matt and Bethany at church when I first moved to Denver. Sadly, they left us shortly after for Turkey! I was so bummed not to get to know them more before they left. We were so sad to see them go, but Turkey has been on their radar for a long time. Matt teaches English and Bethany is more than busy with their girls.

I got to do something veeeeeeeery fun last month. I got to photograph not one, but TWO pregnancy announcements. Because I’m so nosy, it was a dream come true to be “in the know” about these little bumps before everyone else. Just another reason to love this job!

Anyone who knows The Dokes family knows that much of their spring and summer revolve around baseball. They have immensely talented sons and their oldest even went to the World Series in Maryland this year! So of course, we had to get some shots at the baseball diamond across the street from their home.

Everyone also knows that their faith is paramount in their lives and that is as obvious as their passion for baseball.

Dwayne and Aimee are raising some sweet blessings (that’s what Aimee calls their kids). From the bottom to the top: Adorable little Titus to feisty Trinity to “Romeo” Ezekiel to sweet Moses.

I had the privilege of meeting the Manns through my friends Henry and Mary. I use the word “meeting” loosely because I didn’t actually meet them until our photo shoot! They were so brave to trust me with their family photos and I’m so incredibly happy they did.

MY FAVORITE KID-FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS IN DENVER

These are my favorite kid-friendly restaurants in Denver. They have perfect menus and accommodations for your hellions and good-enough-to-be-worth-it food for you.
