Jill and Matt found me online. That almost never happens to me. Mostly because I’m terrible with the SEO. It’s called “The SEO” right? See?! Terrible.
Almost all my clients come to me through referrals. But Jill found me the new old-fashioned way. On the good ole Internet. And I’m SO glad she did.
She reached out when she was pregnant and explained she had a rare disorder called placenta membranacea. She quickly followed it up with, “Yep. This is my unicorn baby.” Not only did she not appear to be afraid, but she was full of hope and peace. She felt like the complications made him even more special. Her attitude toward something that could have been so scary was truly incredible.
The time came for Leo’s birthday and just like the pregnancy, there were some scary moments. But through it all, they remained upbeat, kind, and patient. It was awe-inspiring. I couldn’t believe how well they handled it every new hard and scary thing. Jill never seemed scared, just so ready to meet her unicorn baby.
That was 2 years ago. Since then, I’ve photographed newborn photos of Leo …
… Matt + Jill’s wedding …
… 1 year photos for Leo …
Oh and let’s not forget my latest session with them, the birth of their second son Levi (more photos to come of that)!
We didn’t know this, but Jill was actually pregnant in these photos we took for Leo’s first birthday. She was able to use one to announce to Matt that they were expecting again. It’s really one of the coolest thing to walk with a family through their happiest and most intimate moments. Matt + Jill have shown me over and over what a privilege this job is. (Love you guys!)
